I tried to install Sphider on my site, so that I could have my own search engine and not rely on outside ones, but alas. It needs the allow_url_fopen-option to be enabled.
Anyone know how I can get around that?

I've found some, but I see that I'm not knowledgeable enough to figure it out myself. So, I'm afraid I have to say I have to hope someone else will look into it... (Sorry.)
