WAP Email Access?

Has anyone had any experience setting up a WAP email client that will tie in to the IMAP accounts in one's DH account? I'm thinking about getting a WAP-enabled (but not full HTML enabled) plan and phone through Cingular, but want to make sure I'll be able to get into my mailboxes before I do. Squirrel Mail doesn't have a feature to render pages as WML, so basically what I'm wondering is whether it's possible to install a Squirrel Mail-like php application that will render the pages as WML.
