This is from 2007 and I just recently found out about memcache and have tried it a bit.

Is it possible to install the memcache deamon in dreamhost?

Hi Antonio,

Have you had any luck with this? Do you have VPS or regular shared hosting? I'm trying to install memcached on my VPS right now and can't find any good documentation on how to do it. I keep getting permission errors.
