Jslide help needed.

Does jslide means java slide show?
I recently downloaded a new WP blog theme, and there is a jslide function. However, the jslide only allows me to display posts and graphics from my own blog's categories only.
How can I tweak it so I can manually insert my friends random post & graphics? I mean going to the control form, key in the respective header, a caption ending with the post url and the graphic url.
I am not a programmer so please be patient while guiding me. If I need to show the codes here so you can tell me the changes, let me know.
