Hi buddies,
I am trying to use use wordpress multiuser. I have got my domain wildcard dns enabled from the support team. I have installed wordpress mu in the folder "blog" in the webroot of the domain http://thinkmate.in . So when a new user(say sam) signs up, his blog url becomes: http://sam.thinkmate.in/blog.

I would like sam to just type in http://sam.thinkmate.in and he automatically gets redirected to http://sam.thinkmate.in/blog. Could you please you tell me how I can do that using a .htaccess file in the webroot folder of http://thinkmate.in?

While it has been a while since I have messed with WordPress MU., I think that the best way to achieve what you are trying to do is to install WordPress Mu in /home/username/thinkmate/ rather than /home/username/thinkmate/blog.

IIRC WordPress MU re-write rules should handle that automatically if you don't install WordPress in a subdirectory, but like I said, it has been awhile since I have messes with it (I use lyceum).

Have you visited the WordPress MU forum? There is a lot of information about this kind of stuff over there. wink
