trouble accessing discussions

For the past couple of nights, I haven't been able to access the discussion board from my home computer using Firefox or IE. I have cleared cookies and cache. I am able to access the root page but once I click on the link to go the discussion board, it keeps loading and then I give up. A couple of days before, I got a 500 error. I was able to access the boards from home before the last few days, though.

I have no problem accessing the boards at work.

I've seen this twice (making me worry dreamhost ;) )
I just created an account here to move from another site.

Though when I've got connections hitting this discussion board, My sites themself are still up :)

There has been a problem with these Forums going down the last two nights (at around 2330 - 0100 PDT), and there is some technical problem.

I have reported to DreamHost in each instance, but they were not able to immediately fix it. They are aware of the problem, and are working on it.

I suspect that some automated process is interfering with the operation of the Forum during those times, and am hopeful they can isolate and eliminate the problem (but then again, I'm just guessing about that, on the basis of anecdotal evidence).

This forum is important to DreamHost, and I'm sure they will "get it fixed". Unless something major impacts the whole network, the Forum problem should not be affecting your sites - it not affected mine in the least.

Yeah, they've been getting at least two trouble tickets (yours and mine) the past two nights. smile

All right, I'm finally able to access the forum from home. :)

I just notice that discussion link is removed from main site. Maybe regarding to their 10 years promotion ?

The link got reshuffled to the support page - where there are links to the wiki, this forum, the support blog, and where the contact form is.
