DH Thanksgiving and Quality Control

Just saw the new announcement in the panel, scrolled down and glanced at the last few previous announcements, and saw the gem below. There's probably a broken script somewhere that should have that extra "m." :-)

Our technical support team will all be spending Thanksgiving day with
their family and friends and will not be working. Everyone will be back

DH prides themselves with the number of customers, and how many of those are not US customers. So how useless is it for me to receive a DH announcement e-mail on Thursday saying that they won't be open for support during thanksgiving.

When is that??!

Having never lived in America, I would've appreciated if DH had
1) stated the DATE of thanksgiving so nonamericans didn't have to look it up
2) stated this some days in advance ... it's not like they didn't PLAN this??

Neither point above shows any customer focus, and that's what really disappoints me.

What a peculiar oversight on their part.

(American Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday in November, though it shouldn't have to be your problem to remember it...)
