Multiple Monitor Help

I recently bought a laptop and I am now using the CRT for my desktop as a second monitor.
This is working great for me, who is currently doing a lot of stuff in Flash with panels everywhere. I can now shove the code on the second monitor...

Anyway, I have my laptop on the right on my CRT because of the desk and the way things are. But when I activate my dual screen, it means I have to go to the right of my laptop screen to go all the way over to my CRT on my left...

So I have
-------- -----------
| CRT | | Laptop|
-------- ------------

If there anyway I can get it to go from the left side of my laptop to the right side of the CRT? Instead of right of laptop to left of CRT?

I can't seem to find anything in my options. (It's an ATI card and I've installed the Hydravision software). I tried putting my primary display as the CRT but that didn't work and is not an ideal solution.

Any ideas?

I can't remember off-hand how to do this under Windows, but I'm pretty sure there's something in the 'Display' control panel to do this. Or maybe it's only an option in a vendor-supplied control panel for your graphics card. I know that I've gotten it working on an ATI card before.

On the Mac, it's an OS level thing. Check the "Displays" system preference pane and there should be an "Arrangement" tab. You can then drag the screens around into any configuration you want (we all run dual head here - just the other day I snuck onto a co-worker's computer and re-arranged his monitors... because I'm a punk like that). :>

One of our support techs, Javier, runs 3 monitors. That, to me, seems a bit excessive.

I would think the ATI display drivers would have a setting. What do you see under Display Properties > Settings > Advanced?

If that doesn't help, this web site might: http://www.realtimesoft.com/multimon/

Yep something like that on Windows. My boss told me. You just go into the normal display properties and drag the 1 & 2 windows around! I haven't tried it but it would seem to work.... so easy and I didn't even think about doing it that way.
