Birthday

Today it's an year, my first year on Dreamhost. I simply wish to thank the staff for this superb service, support (they can even understand my bad english! ;-) ) and for how much it has been improved in just 365 days.

I started one year ago with my own personal site. I had 250mb of disk space and one hosted domain. Now after two free plan upgrades by you and after switching to "Code Monster sale", I have 2560mb, can host 15 domains (and host 6, plus lot of subdomains). But more than numbers I find important other things.

I got a lot extra experience with web languages, I'm able to control my sites (now not only my personal one but others that I decided to move here), I've discovered lot of useful things to do with .htaccess files that not all hosts allows. There would be a lot more things to list (procmail, mail management, and so on), but... they are too much. It's a perfect service. Also, even more important than just a feature list, I wish to add that I can share some of my space with friends, giving them the opportunity to learn, to install the software they need (under my strict control :) and to work in a full web site, with statistics, goods and responsabilities.

The only sad thing is that I can't move here all sites I manage, so sometimes I must stop dream and see how less things some other hosts (especially italian ones) offers. For example my Parish gets 100mb/1gb bandwith and a small control panel at the same price of a CDI plan here.
