Charged Credit card without consent for next year

hi,
i was with dreamhost for full 1 year, i am satisfied with dreamhost. but i have no time to host any site.
so i dont send money for next year host.
but they charged me with my credit card.
how i can get my amount back.
plz help me

You're subscribing to a service, so you'll be billed until you cancel.

We're just customers, so you'll need to take that up with them.

hmmm...that doesn't seem too kosher?

Unless by purchasing hosting services, we unknowingly agreed to be indefinately billed via the same billing method until we actually cancel the service...I think this isn't really nice.

btw., I'm curious, what happens if we paid via paypal? Auto-bill paypal likewise?

It's how it works just about anywhere, unless you choose not to be auto-billed.

Then when people choose not to be auto-billed, they cry about how their sites are down because they forgot to pay.

It's up to each person to setup their billing the way they want it.
