ID3 comment fields

I have a large number of mp3s that I'm pulling the id3 info from to display on a page. There is an issue with the files though in that some of the mp3s have 2 separate comment fields stored in them. I only entered 1 comment per file and the second has come from another program. Is there an easy way to remove this information from the id3 tags?

Are you on a windows or *nix based system?

If using Windows I have found ID3 Tag It to be the one I like the most. Batch updates are no problem. http://www.id3-tagit.de/english/index.htm

If *nix, I am trying to find something good too. Any suggestions in that area would be much appreciated.

There are many tools and programming APIs that will allow you to edit ID3 tags for an mp3, or to write your own piece of software that does what you want.

When looking for reliable existing software that has batch ID3 tagging capabilities with an intuitive interface, the pickings seem a little slimmer in my searching.

Thanks for all the help guys! I landed on Media Rage, which is by far the best id3 editor I've found yet
