Squirrel Cart on Dreamhost

Squirrel Cart on Dreamhost

I'm looking at a few shopping carts, and find squirrel cart (www.squirrelcart.com) interesting. Has anyone used squirrel cart on a dream host account? The requirements look pretty straight forward, but I'm particularly worried about the following:
CURL
fsockopen
OpenSSL

Does dreamhost supply any/all of these?

Also, anyone have input onto the best way to accept online payments? I've always just used the paypal service - it's nice that they handle all the security issues - annoying that they try to hard sell users on signing up for a paypal account. Has anyone used a costco merchant account with Squirrel or any other cart? Anything to watch out for with a costco account?

Thanks in advance for any insights.

I haven't installed a cart here, but I do know that cURL and OpenSSH are installed here.

BTW, what's driving you to use Squirrelcart over ZenCart? If I ever need shopping cart software I figure your answer may help me out! :)

So, I've used zen cart a little, and found some aspects to be a handful. In a quick search of del.icio.us I found this link, which affirmed some of my initial impressions of zen cart:

Squirrel is $129 or so, but seems like an okay investment for something that is as easily customizable as scriptygoddess asserts.

And, I kind of like the clean look and support squirrel cart provides.

I'm still evaluating options, and am open to input.

BTW, if you use cURL, I don't think you'll need fsockopen().
