Google apps necessary?

Hi,
Im used to traditional hosting setups, so please excuse my question. Ive setup a wordpress install on a dreamhosters.com subdomain, attempting to use the base subdomain rather then prefix it with another title (ie. sub.subdomain.dreamhosts.com)

After quite a few days, the WP install shows its complete.
Removed all Google related content.
When i try to navigate to the site, i get presented by Google Apps welcome page.
Is this necessary to be used?
If so, Google Apps doesnt take my information anyway.

But its rather confusing, coming from 'real' hosting, to this pseudo setup.

I have the same problem, only that Google Apps has taken over my blog, and now, instead on showing blogspot blog on my custom domain, i't's showing that google apps page...

You killed my blog dudes, i had over 500 visitors a day..

See it for yourself www.computerica.ro, it should be http://computerica.blogspot.com/

Hmm, that's odd, google shouldn't be installed at that location! Could you let me know the dreamhosters.com subdomain that you're using so I can look into your account and see what's going on? You can pm it to me if you don't want to post it here.

Thanks for chiming in strider820.

I managed to resolve it.
I had to create a Google Apps account, via requesting lost password, in order to request a resend of some link needed to create the *.dreamhosters.com subdomain account.

I do want to add tho, I removed Google Apps from the subdomain (something.dreamhosters.com) but it reappeared on its own. Until I created the G-Apps account, the webpage was pointing to G-Apps, upon creating the account. WP started appearing as per normal.

For the sake of the admin/dev's sanity (i know they arent 'supported' as such), but a quick write up, showing common processes, might save some support time on the forum here.

Thanks for looking into the prob.
