Several Questions concerning Dreamhosts Webplans

Dear Dreamhost Team,

I do have several questions that I would like to be answered:

* Do you offer multiple MYSQL Databases? Or in other words, more than one?
* Do you offer Shell Acess (SSL)
* How many Domains can point to a webhotel hosted on Dreamhost?
* How many users can access the SQL simutaneously? E.g. if I do have a forum working with MYSQL, how many forum users could post at the same time?
* Do you have a limit on MaxJoinSize imposed or can this be set manually?

With a disk space now of less than 2 GB and monthly traffic below 30GB, what hosting plan would you recommend?

Yes. You can have as many databases as you want with no extra charge. You can add them from the panel.

Yes.

As many as you want. There is no limit.

Level 1. It has 200 GB of disk space and 2048 GB of monthly traffic. If you want more at a later time, you can easily move to the next level from the control panel.

Yes, you can have 'unlimited' MySQL databases, up to the storage limits of your plan.

Yes, both Telnet and SSH access are available.

You can host an unlimited number of domains with all the DreamHost shared hosting plans.

If you are currently managing with 2GB/30GB, I suggest you try the level 1 plan, which provides 200GB of storage and 2TB of traffic.

Can I ask a question? What's a "webhotel"? Is it an artifact of translation?

nah, a Web Hotel is basically just ehhh.. online information about a Hotel/Resort. Usually it includes pictures, some kind of tour (video, flash, or otherwise), some general information, local points of interest, etc.

I wanna say it's a fairly new phrase though, cause I don't ever remember it as a vocab word in web design class (mind you that was in High School though...).

I guess a webhotel is a "hotel" for web applications. Basically another word for webhost.

An hostel website can be anywhere from
http://www.yh-geneva.ch/ (really basic, a little webhost is enough)
to
http://experience.mgmgrand.com/ (huge bandwidth, ssl required, sql...)

So, a "webhostel" is like any website, the hosting required depend on the website.

No, they did not say "webhostel", tt was specifically "webhotel". Both are rather different in their definitions.
Though again, it could be a translation issue... but 'webhotel' is certainly a term that references Hotel/Resort specific websites.

I thought it was just a translation from English "Web Hosting" to a different language where the idiom was "Web Hotel" and then translation back.

It's not a big deal for me, but it's always good to know what and why someone might use the term in the future.
