In the event that some shmuck decides to sign up on a saturday, might it not be the following week before their account recieves the proverbial 'approval'...?
Couldn't the keys be handed to the kind folks who work the weekend shift at dreamhost?

I believe they do hand the keys over to weekend tech support, but if your account is flaged for manual approval it can take a bit. If you're in a hurry, put in a message to support and ask them if they can approve it.
