How good are DH with domain registration and expiry?

Some off my domains with another registrar expired and I am really suprised that within a day or two the website has been pointed to a domain landing page. I can't even see them on the control panel

I have to renew them but I will move them within the 60 days.

Are Dreamhost more reasonable in this respect?

Once it expires, there's no reason to expect you can keep it. I have all of mine set to auto-renew to as to avoid such problems.

You have to use .dreamhosters.com. dreamhost.com is their business domain.

It's not really a matter of being reasonable. It's only yours as long as you pay for it.

Any that aren't taken? tongue

It's pretty much like asking what domains are available. You just have to try the ones you want and see if you can get them or not.
