Cron job question

Hi, I'm considering signing up for DreamHost, but I have a question regarding cron jobs and their limit:

In the shared hosting description, it says that cron jobs shouldn't "cause undue load on the server". If I run wget every 5 minutes using a cron job, would this cause too much load on the server?

Agreed. It shouldn't but it also depends on what the job is actually doing.

AFAIK there isn't a limit on the cron jobs or the timers for the jobs but if this job has caused problems with hosts in the past, you may want to check with support first.
