New servers. Any good?

Has anyone been migrated to the new servers? Is there a noticeable improvment? Is this merely a money-saving exercise for DH, or has the speed improved also?

I've volunteered to move early, but am still waiting.

The ones I've seen have noticeably superior file manipulation speeds.

Blink of an eye kinda deal.

Hmmm. That sound encouraging. I guess that's due to the local disk rather than NFS.

Yeah, the difference is very apparent in shell. When I first witnessed the responsiveness I actually thought I'd made a typo when I didn't have to wait at all. I considered asking to be moved as well, but the server I'm on has awesome uptime so haven't taken the chance of getting lumped with bad neighbours.
