Giving webspace to friend - want to monitor files

Giving webspace to friend - want to monitor files

I'd like to provide web hosting for my friends by giving them space on my account. Currently I've configured a new user for my first friend, but I can't see what files she has uploaded unless I log in as her.

Is there a way to have her root as a subfolder of my account? It seems from what I've read she would only be able to access her files under my account if she logs in as me.

What is the best way to accomplish some shared hosting?

Have you tried to cd to her home directory when SSH'ed in?

Which seems to me to be a perfectly acceptable way for you to provide her hosting on your account while "monitoring" her files. wink
