Webalizer

Hi, i following the steps in http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Webalizer. When i put in putty tar -xvzf "File in my Directoy FTP", appears a list, and when i install, say "Permission Deniend", how i acept the permissions of the webalizer?, because i dont know whats the problem.
