Configuring Spamassassin

Configuring Spamassassin

I have a question regarding configuring Spamassassin. I have enabled the junk mail filter on my e-mail account but a lot of spam is still getting through. I've checked the scoring in the message header and the score is very low so low in fact that even if I lowered tag/quarantine levels it wouldn't help.

What I would like to be able to do is change the scoring for individual tests that spamassassin uses. By increasing the score for these tests I can hopefully increase the likelihood it will be flagged as spam the next time.

I don't see any of accomplishing this from the webmail options available. Do I have to install my own version of spamassassin to do this?

Thanks
