setting up MX records

I registered a domain name last night at Dreamhost without a hosting plan. I am not currently intrested in having the domain hosted at Dreamhost. But, I do want to set the MX records to point to my mail server. (I am doing a test of one of gmail's new services.)
The domain showed up within a few minutes under Domains->registrations. I can not see the domain under Domains->manage (nor can I add it). I can not see the domain under mail->custom MX.
This is my first time using DreamHost so please be patient.
