Setting up email

I have read the KB but I just don't understand what is going on with the email set up. I need to set up an email for every copy writer on my site but it seems I can only set up for my ftp users. Maybe I am wrong.

Is there a way for the users to set up an email themselves?

Just go to Mail > Manage Email > Create a new email address.

Why does it seem so confusing then. I have used other hosts and it was basically just type it in. With dreamhost they talk about forwarding and stuff that i know nothing about.

and i hear they haev had trouble with their email.

how would my clients change their passwords?

Webmail should be back up and working now.

You don't need to do any forwarding if you don't want to. After you click on the link to create an email address, just type in the name you want for the address (name@youdomain.com) and leave the forwarding box blank. Make sure "deliver to this mailbox" is checked, as this will create a new mailbox.

Give the mailbox a name (this is just an identifier), and choose whatever options you want afterwards. Click "Create Address" and it should be completed.

For reading mail, go to https://webmail.yourdomain.com.
For settings like changing passwords go to https://mailboxes.yourdomain.com.

Security warnings are not a problem.

Go to https://mailboxes.yourdomain.com and your users can login to change their settings. That area also has the information required for configuring email clients.
