Hello
I want to allow a friend access to my accounts web panel. He has ftp access but is not able to get into the web panel.
I am not certain why he cannot get to the web panel, but my thought is to delete him as a user and then set up a new account for him.
will this work?

This is normal. Panel log-ins are separate from FTP/SSH log-ins.
To give your friend Panel access, you will need to create a WEBID for them and configure the Panel privileges you wish to give that WEBID. This can be done via the Panel at Billing -> Account Privileges.
