I've been interested in starting my own personal website...and I have very little experience with html... I'm so lost and do not know where to start ...can anyone help with a layout ?

What about installing a Wordpress blog?

Pretty easy to create templates for them. With stuff like Joomla and Wordpress there is really little need to create a site from scratch anymore.

Or if youre more interested in a simple website, that you designed, check out NVU - it's a free WYSIWYG editor, basically similiar to Frontpage or Dreamweaver. Very simply to use. Might work out well for you.
