I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me set up dreamweaver so I can access my database and thus display it in a dynamic page on my website. Dreamweaver has 4 steps you have to follow: 1) create a site 2) choose a document type (php) 3) set up the site's testing server 4) create a connection.
I went through all the steps, but then when I tried to create a connection, it gave me the following error:
1) There is not testing server running on the server machine.
2) The testing server specified for this site does not map to the http://sake.dreamhost.com/germantowncog.cggc.org/_mmServer Scripts/MMHTTPDB.php URL. Verify that the URL maps to the root of the site.
I have dreamweaver set up to recognize the following for the "Testing Server":
Server Model: PHP MySQL
Access: FTP
FTP Host: sake.dreamhost.com
Host Directory: germantowncog.cggc.org
Login: ******
Password: *****
(check) Use Passive FTP
URL Prefix: http://sake.dreamhost.com/germantowncog.cggc.org/
and when i create the connection, my settings are as follows:
Connection Name: prayerlist
MySQL Server: pray.germantowncog.cggc.org
User Name: *******
Password: *******
Does anyone know of a way to configure dreamweaver so i can connect to the database???
THANKS IN ADVANCE
DAN
