Gmail for mail, hosting elsewhere

Gmail for mail, hosting elsewhere

I currently have several domains registered and hosted with Dreamhost. One of these needs to be moved to something more stable (the recent outages have killed the client's confidence in the current setup.) We would like to keep using Gmail for our e-mail, but move the hosting elsewhere.

If I change the nameservers for the domain will it affect the Gmail settings?

If you're changing registrars as well, then Yes! You'll need to alter the MX records to reflect their current state here.

If you're just moving the files and retaining DreamHost as your registrar you don't have to do anything wink
