ffmpeg installation

My website is hosted in dreamhost and I found that ffmpeg is not installed. I check that with shell_exec() php function. What should I do to install ffmpeg?

The first step for ffmpeg installation says
Login to SSH as the owner account of your directory
What is SSH? or how could I log into the SSH?
