How can I directed my root domain to a cname

Let's say I have a domain abc.com and I have a subdomain blog.abc.com where blog is a cname to ghs.google.com.

I don't want to redirect abc.com using a script (like php redirect) but need to make abc.com as a dns alias to blog.abc.com, is that possible ?

Thanks !

A CNAME only works if the destination knows that it is acting as that domain. So ghs.google.com needs a DNS entry to know that it has to respond as blog.abc.com

So unless you can initiate some DNS changes at Google, then a CNAME won't work.

Hi sdayman,

for blog.abc.com is working now that directed to my blogger account. But can I have abc.com (without any subdomain) to refer outside from DH ? So, what I want actually is not blog.abc.com => my blogger subdomain but abc.com => my blogger subdomain.

Thanks,
