Subdomains and Mirroring

Hello, I am working on an install of Joomba, and I want to be able to Have a subdomain ex:
news.example.com
mirror something on www.example.com/cms/index.php?page=news
I was wondering about htaccess..
I have looked into the mirroring in the dreamhost panel, but it only allows you to mirror an entire domain, like example.com, not example.com/cms/index.php?page=news
Is there any way to do this?
I am open to anything besides frames, Im not a big fan of frames since it makes linking difficult for users..
