Mediawiki Math

I am running Mediawiki on my web site.
I would like to use the TEX math extension.
After running make in the math sub directory,
I get the following error when displaying a page with
<math>I = frac{P}{A} = cfrac{P}{4pr^2}</math>
in the source.
Failed to parse (Missing texvc executable; please see math/README to configure.): I = frac{P}{A} = cfrac{P}{4pr^2}
What am I doing wrong?
