Automating rsync backup

Hello,

I'm interested in setting up a backup of an image repository that I keep for my personal use to one of my dreamhost sites. I understand how to use rsync and cron, but I want to make this completely hands-off and automatic. To do so I understand that I need to generate a public/private key pair, but I'm unsure about how to use this, and/or where to load my key to the destination dreamhost server. Can I get some help, or a point in the right direction?

Hey, Matttail. You've been quiet lately. Sup?

Been busy with college and life. Finally have had a bit of a break and am ready to get back into the forum. Though it may not last long, regular semester starts up again come February. It's the whole senior thing, and I'm looking for a Masters college too.
