ffmpeg-php help please

Hi guys,
Have any of you successfully installed ffmpeg-php (http://ffmpeg-php.sourceforge.net/) on DreamHost? I understand that there are instructions on the Wiki on how to install ffmpeg, but are we allowed to install extentions to php, such as ffmpeg-php?
Any help would deeply be appreciated.
