Awstats

Anybody try installing awstats on their website hosted on dreamhost yet? I followed the instructions listed in the wiki and get the index page to show in the awstats folder. However, there are only zeros, no stats at all. I've tried reinstalling several times with no luck. Anybody have any suggestions? I'd greatly appreciate any help or comments. I was able to get webalizer installed successfully but wanted to try awstats as well.
