From Coppermine to Gallery

A while back I noticed Dreamhost stopped offering the Coppermine picture gallery as a one-click install in favor of Gallery. I've looked into Gallery and after a lot of vacillating, I thought I may want to give it a try. Is there a way of moving the old Coppermine database stuff to the newer Gallery short of manually re-adding photos, comments, users etc? Has anyone done it?
