Hey people!
I was just wondering, see from my hosting space, could I run a 8 slot ventrilo server from it. This is because my ISP has the ports that ventrilo uses for the server blocked for some reason. I can join other servers, but not create my own.

I suspect you would not be allowed to do this on dreamhost. Most all 'servers' are consistant processes, and there by are strictly not allowed. Any thing that runs contsantly on the server, regardless of web site visitors or not, is a consistant process.
I just glanced over the requirements at their website, and it seems that this the server is a consistant process. So enless you want to go dedicated you're out of luck.
