Following the directions on wiki.dreamhost, I get through the procedure fine through the command in step 11. But when trying to view awstats.example.com.conf I get the following error message in the browser:
Error: AWStats database directory defined in config file by 'DirData' parameter (data/) does not exist or is not writable.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Setup ('/home/username/awstats/awstats.example.com.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.
Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory).
the permissions for my data directory are 755
