Adtrackz - "URL file-access is disabled in the"...

Hi,

I get the following error when trying to install the Adtrackz software. I've also gotten this error with another program called SIMA (split testing software).

Anyone encountered something like this and know what the solution is? (I'm thinking the problem might be that Dreamhost won't let me chmod the files to 777.)

Doesn't anyone use the search tool anymore? Try searching for "URL file-access", and you'll get several posts related to this issue.

Your Adtrackz software is requiring URL file access (like "http://somethingorother.com"), but that no longer works at DreamHost for security reasons.

Your best bet is to email Adtrackz and ask them what you are supposed to do if the allow_url_fopen option in PHP is disabled, and you have no way of enabling it.
