wordpress site maintenance

greetings!

i'm wondering if anyone knows of an easy way to make a WordPress site temporarily viewable at an alternate URI (preferably without having a second installation), while showing a maintenance notification at the regular URI. this would allow maintenance without having to have a local install on my home computer, and without viewers seeing the site in disarray while maintenance is in progress.

thanks!

As long as it was a URI within your existing domain, it wouldn't be too difficult; however, I really don't see the point. Most "maintenance" on a WordPress blog takes minutes, and the CSS can be easily tried locally. It is also very trendy to develop in public nowadays.

You only have 1 post on your blog, so I can't imagine it is going to be that big a deal to have a little bit of disruption.
