Wordpress: 8 hour life

I've installed Wordpress with the one click install and it works great for 8 hours or so and then out of nowhere gives an error:
"This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at... "
I've installed it twice and it happened again.
???
What am I not doing?
