WordPress Mu superiority?

WordPress Mu superiority?

Hello,

I host a dozen domains on my DreamHost PS, and each has its own installation of WordPress. Needless to say, it is a bit time-consuming to maintain them all -- but more important, I'm concerned about the strain these multiple instances put on my server.

I think I understand WordPress Mu to be something I could run that would allow multiple WordPress blogs on multiple domains. Would this consolidation of code be likely to improve my sites' performance?

Cheers,

-Ken

I doubt it'd impact performance (same pages served, same db transactions taking place) but it might benefit you with the maintenance side of things. Think along the lines of DreamHost's One-Click installations in "Easy Mode" - make a change to or update your core, themes, plug-ins, etc and it's reflected across all linked installations.
