1. Is it possible to setup a phpBB with a DH account?
2. If so, is it possible to set it up so users who login to a Wordpress site already have a session saved so they do not also have to login to phpBB and vice versa?

phpBB is available as a One-Click install, as is WordPress. Very easy, but make sure you use the Advanced mode installation for both rather than Easy mode which won't let you modify the installation.
For integration, do a Google search for "phpbb wordpress integration" and you'll get several useful hits.
