MediaWiki won't keep me signed in.

Installing MediaWiki worked fine but I'm having trouble staying signed in. Whenever I move to a new page, I'm kicked off my signed in account and it sees me as an IP without an account. I've had trouble like this with Wikipedia as well. The solution on Wikipedia was to always sign in on their secure server. Then I wouldn't be kicked off my account.

I'm not sure whether that's an option on Dreamhost. Does anyone have a solution? I suspect that part of the problem is my ISP. My IP often seems to be interpreted as a proxy server.

I don't know if it is related at all. I have a mediawiki, it keeps me logged in but I have htaccess on the main page, and it will not stay logged in. I dunno
