Roundcube in Joomla

I currently have RoundCube installed as my webmail interface on my dreamhost account but want to be able to access it from within Joomla. When I install RoundCube as a component of Joomla 1.5, I get an error and it forces it into legacy mode.
Once i am in legacy mode, instead of processing the link, I am sent to a blank 500 Internal Server error page. If I access the RoundCube as a standalone link with the wrapper function, it works great. Any ideas?
