Hi all,

Being a newbie, could anyone please lead me through the process of installing ioncube loaders on a dream host shared hosting server? The documentation isn't very helpful for a newbie :-)

Many thanks in advance.

Cheers!

Many thanks for a fast response. It worked like a charm!

It's not when I pull up a post via search results:

This is what I get as a clickable link:

Not sure what sXi's scripts do since I can't download them, but I've had ioncube working at one point. DH moved my account to a new machine as an "emergency stability measure" and now the loader doesn't work.

phpinfo() says it's using the php.ini file in the cgi-bin directory. I even copied a fresh copy of php.ini from the new machine since the old referenced suhosin.so which doesn't exist on the new machine.

Apparently it's trying to load the .so, but the error log says "file not found." The file is sitting right where it's supposed to be, ie. /home/me/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so

Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas what is going on?

Try the 64 bit loaders.
